EARTHLING FILM FESTIVAL 2027
In September 2027 in Copenhagen, Planet Earthling will be debuting our Earthling Film Festival featuring all elements of our services from our film archive to our 100% plant-based catering service (Earthopedia, Party Like An Earthling and Earthling Food Group) A festival that brings together an estimate of 2,500 national and international guests, in collaboration with 25 partners and sponsors.
Planet Earthling has a background in science, including genealogy and environmentalism. An element of the festival will include our geneology and environmentalist studies, presented via creative, emotionally driven and cinematic storytelling, using science as the base and creativity as the driving force.
KICK-OFF MEETING (AUGUST 2024)
In August 2024, 55 participants from various countries attended our first Earthling meeting to represent their cultures, exploring cross-cultural differences and similarities. Once again thank you to the embassies who helped with outreach. We will be hosting many more of such meetings in year 2026, in preparation of the festival.
MOVIE MORNINGS (PALADS, NORDISK FILM)
On December 9, 2024, we held our first public collaboration with several EU embassies in Denmark, Palads (Nordisk Film), Save The Children Denmark, and Ukraine House Denmark, who all helped enable Planet Earthling, so we could offer free cinema trips to school children and low-income families during the Christmas season 2024. Special thanks to the embassy of Hungary and Ukraine in Denmark, and to Karandash Animation Studios from Ukraine, who brought a smile to many children’s and adults’ faces in Christmas 2024. Our film department looks forward to opening for submissions in 2026 from filmmakers across Europe and internationally, to be featured across cinemas in Copenhagen in year 2027.
EARTHOPEDIA
Heritage and generational equity is in the very DNA of Planet Earthling. Our Earthopedia archive is a digital collection of childhood and teenage memories from around the world. We have received family albums and home videos since 2022 by people submitting them to us. And now our work is more local: From January 2026 and in collaboration with the nursing homes of Denmark, we are interviewing the elderly residents in light-hearted, fun ways that match their personalities. Our mission is to document their childhood and teenage memories, bringing out their inner child and fighting a stigma around ageism, setting an expiration date on humans.
Each culture will have their own archive. This is a preview of our Sweden archive 🇸🇪
